Common questions
How do I join a friend's group?
Ask them for the group's six-character invite code (it's on their group page), then tap Join on your Groups screen and enter it. Codes can be rotated by the group's owner, so make sure you have the current one.
Why can't I check in?
Each Packt sets what counts as proof. A photo Packt opens the camera and only accepts a photo taken right then. An Apple Health Packt needs a workout of at least the required length that ended in the last 36 hours, and Packt needs permission to read workouts (iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Packt). A location Packt needs you to be at one of your saved places (Profile → My places). You can check in once per day; the day ends at midnight in your time zone.
I was fined but I think I shouldn't have been.
Fines are worked out once a day from the Packt's rules and your check-ins. If you missed for a good reason, open the fine and tap Ask for a pass; the other members vote, and a majority waives it. If the fine itself looks wrong, email us with the group name and the date.
How does money work?
Packt never holds or moves money. Fines are a tally; Settle up on the group page shows who owes what, and you pay each other however you normally would. Marking a fine paid is done by group members.
Notifications aren't arriving.
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Packt, then Packt → Profile → Settings to confirm reminders, fines and chat are on and the reminder hour is what you expect. A muted group chat (the bell at the top of the chat) only silences that chat.
How do I report someone or block them?
Long-press a message, open a check-in photo, or use the menu on a member's page to report it or block that person. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Blocking hides their messages and photos from you; manage blocks under Profile → Settings → Blocked users.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account, then confirm (on iPhone this also revokes Packt's access to your Sign in with Apple credential). Or email hello@garysylvester.co from the address on your account and we'll delete it within 7 days. Deletion is permanent: your profile, photos, places, messages and check-ins are deleted.
